Review: Adagio Mr. Richard Gilmore fandom blend

Richard Gilmore always told his daughter Lorelei to eat her grapefruit in the morning. And she never wanted to, because she didn’t like them. She might’ve felt differently if she’d tried the Mr. Richard Gilmore fandom blend of tea from Adagio.

I’ve always been a huge Gilmore Girls fan, so when I saw this blend while deciding what to purchase with my rep voucher, I was drawn to it and really wanted to try it.

Just like Richard Gilmore, this tea has a very strong, regal taste. It’s not all business though, like his subtle humor, the flavors of grapefruit, citrus and lemon bring playfulness to the blend. His passing was very sad, and it made the revival very emotional. My favorite moments were when he and Rory would sit at the table and share the newspaper. He was a strong character on the show, fierce and sometimes a little harsh, but it was always clear that he cared a lot about his family. Just like him, this tea feels like some life advice followed by a hug.

This blend is a combination of Earl Grey Bravo, Grapefruit and Lemon Soleil.

Ingredients: Black Tea, Orange Peels, Natural Bergamot Flavor, Blue Cornflowers, Natural Lemon Flavor, Natural Grapefruit Flavor & Marigold Flowers.

While the grapefruit really stands out aromatically, it’s more subtle in taste, and blends really nicely with the earl grey. The tea is recommended to be enjoyed with cream and sugar, but it was fabulous on its own.

Let me know in the comments if you have any favorite Adagio fandom teas!
