Ahh, chai tea. I love the spiciness, and drinking of it any time of year reminds me of the crisp fall season of the Midwest — cozy and warm like your favorite sweater or a soft scarf on a cold day. Another thing I really love is chocolate. So maybe nyou can see where this post is going.
Ingredients: Sri Lankan Black Tea (50%), Cocoa Shells (15%), Spices (35%) (Ginger, Cardamom, Cinnamon), Calendula Petals, Sunflower Petals, Natural Flavouring.
Chai Kai’s Chocolate Chai is the best of both worlds! I love chocolate chai teas, and their blend did not disappoint. It’s cozy, like a cup of spiced hot chocolate, but no calories so it’s completely guilt-free to enjoy as often as you’d like!
This tea is best enjoyed hot. I’ve had other chocolate chai blends, like Zhena’s Gypsy tea, which was also tasty, but I like this one much more. The chocolate is smooth, and aromatically it stands out. At first sip, the spiciness of cinnamon, ginger and cardamom comes into play after the chocolate begins to fade a bit, but they two contrasting flavors blend well together.
Chai Kai’s chocolate chai black tea would make an amazing chai latte, with some natural sweetener and frothy milk of your choice, but I really think it’s also delicious on its own.
Let me know your favorite type of chai in the comments below 🙂
Ooooh chocolate chai sounds amazing! I know Abbey Lane Teas does a delicious Vanilla Chai you might be interested in – also loose leaf! P.s. love your review! xxx
