Tea Review: English Tea Shop Ginger Honey Tea

This time of year, I’m constantly seeking comfort teas. Even though it’s not the usual chilly midwest autumn that I’m used to, when the leaves are changing and it’s not as hot outside, it’s nice to wear a cozy sweater and drink a spicy cuppa. This week I’m going to talk about two spicy teas I’m enjoying right now, the first being English Tea Shop‘s Ginger Honey Hand -picked Tea, which I’m reviewing in this post.

As you may know from some of my past tea reviews, I love ginger. It helps my stomach and I also just love the flavor. This tisane had some of my ingredients, and it was on sale, so I decided to try it.

Ingredients: Black tea, ginger pieces and cinnamon pieces with honey flavor

This is such a nice, comforting flavor. I always like to put honey in my tea, but enjoy tea blends like this tisane that have honey infused into it. The honey is really present in both the aroma and taste of this herbal tea, and it balances out well with the spicy ginger and cinnamon. It’s a really simple combination that yields wonderful flavor.

The side of the box literally says “comfort in a cup,” which is how I would describe this beverage. It’s best enjoyed hot, to warm up and soothe.

Also, this is the first time I’m using my bee teapot in a review! I got this back in June while camping in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. I love the bee design, and since today’s review is a honey tea, I thought it was very fitting 🙂

Let me know your favorite “comfort” tea in the comments below, and happy sipping!
