Over the weekend, I was really craving a tasty dessert. Instead of snacking, I brewed some Forever Nuts herbal infusion tea from DavidsTea to share with my dad, who was visiting from out of town.
I love this tea a lot. The aroma almost reminds me of an apple fritter or apple pie. It has a full, nutty flavor, without the calories or caffeine, so it is great enjoyed anytime of day.
Ingredients
When I first bought this tea, the sales lady told me that it was all edible.
Made of apple, almonds, cinnamon, beetroot and artificial flavor, it’s delicious, and I’ll admit I did eat a little and it tasted great that way too.
The beetroot gives the tea a vibrant pink hue, which makes it really magenta and beautiful, adding to the experience. Plus, beetroot and the other ingredients all offer health benefits. So this tea is not only guilt-free, but overall pretty healthy as well.
Thoughts on Forever Nuts
This tea is sweet and almost dessert-like. It is flavorful without being overpowering. The apple seems to be the strongest note, with nuttiness and spice blending well in both taste and aroma. This is a great tea for any time of day, but especially good in place of a late night or afternoon snack to satisfy a craving for something sweet.
Forever nuts is great hot, without sugar, but could easily be made into a latte with some sweetener, or cold for a more refreshing, cider-style beverage.
On a little tangent here, I love this little clay dog in a slipper! I got this little tea charm from Goldfish Tea, and was told to pour the first water on it for good luck.
Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried this tea, or what your favorite dessert herbal tea is, and happy Tuesday! 🙂
Sounds like a great tea and I love the color after it’s fully steeped!
