I love brussels sprouts! I like them boiled, baked and even fried. But lately I’ve been enjoying them roasted.
I’ve had amazing roasted brussels sprouts at restaurants, and wanted to try to make them myself. After searching for a good recipe, I decided to make my own. The balsamic vinegar and oil combination leaves the roasted brussels sprouts with a caramelized, yet crispy texture that I can’t get enough of. This is a quick little recipe with minimal prep.
Ingredients
• 1/2 lb brussel sprouts
• Seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic powder to your liking
• About 1/4 cup olive oil
• About 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
(but I don’t really measure it out, I just drizzle it over until the sprouts)
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees, and after washing brussel sprouts, place in a glass or metal pan and stir with seasonings, olive oil and balsamic vinegar until they are thoroughly coated. Place in oven, and bake for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. And that’s it! These can be eaten alone for a great, healthy snack. They also go great with fish and rice.
