Even though I can’t go there everyday, the comforts of Goldfish Tea are here with me in Indiana, as I enjoy their First Love Black Tea. I got this the last time I stopped in for a cuppa, having tried it before and enjoyed it.
This loose-leaf tea reminds me of other black teas I’ve had, but more smooth and yummy. But it also has the tiniest nutty quality to it, which makes it enjoyable. It’s comfortingly caffeinated, and a great way to start the day or pick yourself up in the afternoon.

To prepare, take a teaspoon full of the black tea in your favorite strainer. I used my Octeapus from Fred & Friends, I love their stuff, especially the different tea infusers. I also have the sloth and tea guy. They’re small but work pretty well in comparison to tea balls which kind of collapse the tea, plus they’re just a good time.
Once your tea is in the strainer, add boiling water and steep for 3-4 minutes. I like my black tea strong, so I left it in a bit longer, and it still didn’t get bitter. This tea is great hot or iced. I’m not sure if it’s a placebo effect, but when I sip it, I feel happy and in love with life, as well as energized and ready to take on what life throws at me.
