Just Delicious Scones/Royal Treat Tea Room: a fun and tasty afternoon

Recently, I took a trip to the Just Delicious Scones/Royal Treat Tea room in Roseville, to catch up with good friend and fellow blogger, Rachel Moulden. Both being big tea fans, we knew this would be a good place to get lunch, and I wasn’t disappointed in my choice.

The tea room itself is very quaint — with shabby chic mismatched furniture and cool thrifted wall art.

The tea ware, too, was gorgeously mismatched — something I’ve noticed before at other tea houses I visited, like the Victorian Rose tea house in Rochester, Mich., and the Victorian Tea Parlor in Berkley. I adored the gorgeous painted China teaware and plates.

To start out, we got a generous amount of scones — six flavor choices, yum! — and tea for two. I’d had Just Delicious scones before — since they are sold locally at the fruit market by my house. Experiencing them at the tea house was even better — adding the lemon sauce and clotted cream made for a tastier scone experience and brought out their flavor.

Rachel and I decided to stay for lunch, and being the spinach fan that I am, I opted for the feta and spinach quiche — which was tasty and light. The plate also included a delicious salad with fresh fruit, almond slice and a light dressing. Besides being very scrumptious, it was a bargain for $11 — more reasonable than other teahouses I’ve visited in the past.

Overall, we had a great experience at Just Delicious Royal Treat Tea Room. The food was great, the atmosphere was lovely and the service was wonderful as well. I will definitely be back.
